On 15 September 2025, NIDO Germany had the privilege of participating in the Annual Scientific Meeting and 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Germany, held at the prestigious Hyatt Regency Hotel in Mainz.
NIDO Germany was represented by Dr. Moses Ogun (President), Prince Adedeji Abiola (Treasurer), and Dr. Obi Obata (Coordinator, Education and Training Unit). The event brought together NMA members from across Germany, along with distinguished guest speakers from medical associations in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and South Africa.
A special highlight was the presence of Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Gloria Diri, First Lady of Bayelsa State, who graciously honored the occasion. His Excellency, Ambassador Dr. Yakubu Dadu, Consul General in Frankfurt, also delivered an impactful consular address.
The NMA used the anniversary to showcase its remarkable achievements over the past five decades, including numerous health-related projects successfully carried out in Nigeria.
NIDO Germany looks forward to building a structured collaboration and partnership with NMA Germany, particularly through initiatives of the NIDO Health Care Unit.
